Well, Stone is doing great with potty training, and has even had more successes with #2! Let me back track for a minute though and say that on Sunday, after we came home from church and lunch, Kevin and I were in the living room and Stone had gone back to his room to play with some cars/trucks. After a few minutes had passed, we heard the toilet flush. Kevin and I looked at each other and were curious, as he usually goes potty on his little one and not the real one. So, K goes back to check on him. We just assumed that maybe he went pee pee on the big one this time. K comes back to the living room and Stone goes back to his room.
A few more minutes pass and we hear the toilet again. I said to K at this point, "He's just playing.. we need to tell him not to do that." Before I got up to go to him though, Stone had come into the living room and I smelled something of a not-so-pleasant odor. So, he hadn't made it to the potty on time, BUT, we noticed that on the toilet seat, there was evidence that he tried to go on there before it came out in his pants. We encouraged him that he did a good job trying....
So then on Monday at school, he sort of did the same thing... went to the potty pre-#2 but then did #2 in his pants afterwards. But, on Tuesday, he had SUCCESS!! He told his teacher he had to go potty and actually made #2 on the potty!! Whoo hoo!!! Then today, he didn't even tell his teacher that he had to go potty and just went into the bathroom. It wasn't until later that I kind of figured that he made #2 in the potty, but didn't tell anyone, cause there was a little residue on his underwear. I was so proud of him!!!! So, yeah Stone!!!!!
Okay, that was probably more info than anyone wanted, but wanted to post cause I'm so proud of my little guy.
On other news, K has hopefully what will be a final interview for a local job on Monday morning... PRAISE God!!! So, please keep him/us in your prayers. Hopefully they will want to hire him and that will happen fast.
Oh, and there is a post below this one that has lots of pics, just catching up from the past month or so.

More Tales From the Potty
Well, tonight, we had #2 success on the potty! I'm trying not to get my hopes up, as it might have been a fluke, BUT, at least now he's done it and hopefully will continue to get the picture in the future. Isn't this funny.... my last 2 posts have been about stone's potty adventures... totally a mom thing to do!!
On other news, k is feeling pretty bad today... at first thought it was a stomach bug, but it could also be some bad food he ate, as his dad woke up sick with the same thing this morning too. They had lunch together on Wed, so that would be weird it took so long to hit, but we're not sure where else it might have come from. Stone and I are good so far and I hope to keep it that way!
Oh, I think I mentioned that K had a phone interview today, but it got postponed till Monday, due to some logistical issues on the company's end. Please pray towards this.. it would be a great opportunity! (And yes, it is local, which means we wouldn't have to move!)
And now, for some funny sayings by my kids... I love to post these, cause they just make my day and make me laugh and smile! I have 3 to post, so here goes:
** Today, we had our V-day party. The kids were HYPED up when they arrived at 9 and we didn't even have sweet stuff until 11!! Anyway, the parents were invited to come if they wanted. C is usually one of the best-natured kids, but for some reason, when his mom shows up, his evil twin takes over and he adopts this attitude that is quite something. So, in walks C's mom to share in the party with us. Immediatly, out comes C's evil twin! So C's mom says she's going to go home and come back to pick him up at 12 since he was acting that way. At that very moment, in pipes one of my other kids (B) with the best quote EVER: "C, you go home and Ms. Daesha, you stay here!" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.. I about fell over. Luckily, I was in the hallway in between my class and Stone's class, keeping an eye on Stone's class as his teacher went down the hall to the restroom. I could hide my laughter, but oh my goodness, that was funny! Even the other kids were looking at him like, "What's wrong with you?!" Score one for B!!
** A few weeks ago, I witnessed the following conversation taking place at the snack table: K and S (the 2 girls) were going on and on about a play date they were planning and how they were going to do this and that, and dress up, etc. K takes a breather (as she was the one who was mostly talking) and in pipes C with his opinion of all this, along with rolling his eyes: "Blah, blah, blah." I think I choked on my drink.. that was too hilarious! I mean, his timing was impeccable and he couldn't have been more right!! Even I was feeling a little like, "Okay, move on to something else!" The boys learn early on it seems!! Score one for C!
** My director and I joke about being random sometimes, as that's just our personalities, but I had the most random comment come from one of the kids during our story/group time a couple of weeks ago. I was reading a book about trains and I asked the question, "Which is bigger? A train or a car?" And one of the kids blurts out with enthusiasm, "FLASHLIGHT!" I just looked at this kid and thought to myself, "I must be the worst preschool teacher on the planet." I mean really, talk about random. What does a flashlight even have to do with a train or a car?? I was caught between laughing, crying, and not knowing what else to say. So now, if you want to be random with me, just blurt out "flashlight!" and I'll know what you mean!

Tales from The Potty
Well, so far, we have had great success in the potty training! Thanks goes mostly to my MIL who has taken a lot of time to help get this started. He's done well, even at school with very few accidents so far. We still haven't conquered the #2 yet, but hopefully that will come soon. Any suggestions for #2, I'll take them!
And for other news, I have applied for two separate part-time jobs (either would have been in addition to still being a part-time preschool teacher). Both offered me the job, but I believe I have made my decision and will start within the next 2 weeks. I will refrain from adding more details on here, just because it's not a secure place to be writing about such things, but maybe in the future, I'll include some further information. My MIL is going to help with Stone during this 2nd job and so again, we are indebted.
K continues to search, apply and network. He has a phone interview Friday afternoon for a good possibility (local) so please keep him in your prayers! In the meantime, as I noted, he keeps looking as diligently as he can. I'll admit that it's been nice to have him around more, especially during this potty training time, but I know he's getting bored at not having a "real job" and so needs some brain stimulation and work-related challenges.
And that is where we are! Still need to post pictures, so maybe I'll get to that soon!

Happy Birthday Cousin Nate!
Can't believe my nephew turned 5 today... where does the time go??? We sort of celebrated his birthday a little early when we went to visit 2 weekends ago, so that is how we got a "birthday picture" of Nate with a cake! Usually, we don't get to celebrate with him and I forgot to bring his gift when we went up, so will have to stop slacking and get it to him soon. Anyhoo, we love you Nate!! Hope it was a good day!!

Time to Update
Hadn't meant to let so much time pass before posting again... just days getting away from me. I actually have pictures to post too, so will get to that soon. Here's update on us so far.
* Stone has been a little sick this past week and then over the weekend, got a bit of a cough going on. However, the weekend was fun cause he got to see cousin Mercy, Wyatt and Aunt Gini. We always love visits with them! And hate to see them go.....
*Last weekend, we trekked up to WV to visit with the fam. I had Monday off from work/school and had originally planned to go to see Gini and fam, but they were still recovery from all the "crud." So, we changed plans at the last minute and headed north. Had a good time and even got to see some snow before leaving. It's always fun to see the fam and for Stone to get to play with cousin Nate. Glad we got the chance.
* K has diligently been searching for a job.. I'm so thankful he's such a hard worker.. he's doing about all he knows to do... searching online, going through recruiters, and following up with any contacts he comes across. Hopefully, one of those will yield good results soon.. it's a scary place to be, especially when you hear about lay-offs every day. Please continue to pray for God to open the door.
* Stone has started all his therapy and it has already yielded progress. We are thankful to have these 3 different ladies working with him on specific things to help his speech come along. All 3 ladies are WONDEFUL... what a blessing! And of course, they all just love him too, as does his preschool teacher and our director. I'm glad he brings joy to those around him! We are also in the real beginnings of potty training with him. He has had some resistance, but we continue to move forward. K's mom is also going to help us some this coming weekend.
That is all for now... will post pics soon.
